AMANDA MOYER

ASSOCIATE LAWYER, EXT. 225, amanda@mehdiau.com

Amanda Moyer

Before joining Mehdi Au LLP Amanda worked in the Legal Aid Sector. Her articling placement at a Legal Aid clinic saw her engaged in various forms of litigation with frequent success. She has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice on criminal matters and she has appeared before several administrative tribunals. She also has extensive experience in mediation and negotiating settlements for clients.

Prior to attending law school Amanda attended York University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts, graduating Cum Laude, and proceeded to pursue her master’s degree in political science. Her decision to attend law school stemmed from her fierce sense of justice nurtured by her time in academia.

While attending law school, Amanda maintained her significant work load while being involved with the law school legal aid clinic providing services free of charge to low income members of the community. As a result of her time in the clinic system, Amanda has significant experience assisting vulnerable clients with complex needs. She prides herself on her ability to provide empathetic and competent service to all of her clients facing significant barriers to justice.

Amanda’s passion for justice has lead her to a practise focusing on criminal and employment law. She proudly accepts Legal Aid Certificates and she will put her utmost effort into advancing the interests of all of her clients.
